Katherine Abdun-Nur Studio

Coming into Autumn 2026

New works and new places to see them!

"Hydrangea Hues" is a new painting, interpreting the colors and form of my hydrangeas in bloom. We grow several varieties and I'll continue exploring painting these gorgeous flowers.

"Tri-color Mood" has been juried into the WSO Fall 2026 Exhibit by Juror Ron Stocke. It will hang at the Mt Hood Resort in October/November 2026.

"Into the Marsh" is now on display at In HIs Timeframe Framing, though "Storm over Denman Marsh" has sold, congratulations to the new owners! These paintings were Inspired by early mornings and late afternoons painting en plein aire at Denman Marsh, here in the Rogue Valley. Surprised by stormy weather, flying flocks of geese and blowing rushes, I was captured by the place and have worked to convey my experience of this unique area located at the base of the Table Rocks.

Several of the "Birdland" paintings have also sold at GalleryOne. The are are part of the collection of recent paintings from my study of birds. The garden outside my studio is a stopover for many birds as they drop in for water from the fountain or seed from the feeder.
