This is from the Rookery Series. We visited a thriving rookery in south Carolina during nesting season a couple of times and have some great references for paintings of sea and shore birds. The woodstorks were unbelieveable, giant gangly creatures nesting within striking distance of their neighbors, a cacophany of shrieks and calls.
